In Memory of Mr. Henry D. Martin
March 26, 1926 – 11-12-2015
I first met Mr. Henry in April of 1984 when I moved to Kinsey, Alabama. From day one, he was my friend and one of my bosses at the time. As time went on, our friendship grew. He later worked for me when I went into business.
Mr. Henry was my friend first, he was my neighbor second and he was my employee third. Mr. Henry was the first person to work with me in what was then Watson Auction Service, LLC.
He was a faithful, trusted and devoted friend who helped me in more ways than I can tell. His death has left a void inside me that cannot be described. He was like a father to me.
He was a fine man and the very definition of a Christian. He taught me much about life and dealing with people. Because he was my next door neighbor, we worked together almost daily until his health began to fail.
I had the privilege of being with him when he passed away. I think about him and miss him daily. I thank God Almighty that he put Mr. Henry in my life.
